Sire and Dam information

The dam: Jolimont Peruvian Pucara was imported into Canada from Peru via Australia and has been an excellent producing alpaca for us. Her micron count at 11 years of age sits at 27.63 and her cria consistently exhibit great density and superb lock formation. Previously she has produced an array of marketable studs including PAQUITO (working in Nova Scotia) and PUCOYO - Grand Champion Male - Alpacafest 2000. She has also produced CARINI (2nd Juvenile white females CNASF) and PICOLO (Reserve Champion female Pacific Coast Show). In 2004 she produced JOFFRE (full brother to Pacino and Best Juvenile Male at Pacific Coast Show 2005 and 2nd place Junior white Males - CNASF 2006 – he was also the high selling male at the 2006 CNASF auction). Everyone of Pucara’s cria in Canada has been of high show quality.

The sire: RFA D’arcy
born in 2001 D’arcy accumulated an impressive array of awards including Grand Champion Male at the 2002 West Coast CLASS Sanctioned Show, Reserve Colour Champion at CNASF 2003 and Supreme Champion Huacaya Fleece at Alpacafest 2003 before being put to stud.

D’arcy’s dam -
(Jolimont Peruvian Grazia) is another one of our exceptional producing females. Her first four cria in Canada are all working studs and have come from four different sires. The much decorated, Jolimont Peruvian Sweet William (Sumaq Valley and KJ alpacas), Jolimont Peruvian Giacomo ( MMR), RFA Anderson ( Last West) and RFA D'Arcy ( Aztec Alpacas/Rainbow Forest Acres).

D’arcy’s sire was Coyo Destini, a full Accoyo male, and himself a multiple Grand Champion as well as the sire of many winners (including HFLA Super Sam and RFA D’arcy and many others). Destini needs little introduction to Canadian alpaca breeders.
