Highlights: Her first time on a leash at 3 mos. and 3 days old, Shakira won BOB and Group 4 from the Baby Puppy class at the Professional Handlers Assn. Sanction Match. She finished her Canadian Championship at 7 months old. Shakira won an American Bred-By Group 2 as a 6 month old puppy on her first trip to the US. She is US pointed, including a BOB win over Specials, one bitch short of a Major. Shakira has also earned 6 American RWB placements, three of which were Reserves to a Major.

 

Shakira is a little chip off both her parents, acquiring her athleticism, beautiful head, good bone and hackney from her father Hero, and her soundness and ring attitude from her mother, Godiva. Her first venture into the ring was as the youngest entry in the Professional Handlers Assn. Fun Match (at just 3 months and 3 days old). She had her "look-at-me" attitude on and was awarded BOB out of 7 Min Pin entries. Then it was on to the Toy Group ring with 12 breeds represented, where she was awarded Group 4th against the big kids from the Baby Puppy class. She finished her Canadian Championship in 3 weeks of showing at 7 months old, alongside Redford (at the same show, on the same day). On her first trip to the US as a green puppy, she came back with several Reserve wins in good competition, and a Bred By Group 2.
Shakira is currently training in Agility. We are fortunate that Shakira has been blessed with exceptionally healthy, strong and full dentition, which makes a Dental Technologist such as myself very happy indeed.
