In 1997 we started Suomi’s Kennels in San Ramon, California with our foundation stock of Int. & Am CH Finkkila’s Flikka Stone and
Int. & Am CH Finkkila’s Kamu. Flikka and Kamu had their first litter
April 2000, which produced our first home bred champion IKE, know as
CH Suomi’s IKE of Ukkonen whose English translation is CH Finland’s IKE of Thunder.
In 2003 we became Co-Owners with Dr. Tom and Marg Walker of the Finkkila’s registered kennel name. We will be breeding and exhibiting dogs under both prefixes “Finkkila’s and Suomi’s.
We have moved from living in town to the country on a 5 arce ranch located in Knightsen California. This will allow is to maintain an active breeding program plus provide a new Kennel building. Finkkila’s and Suomi’s is committed to producing happy and healthy puppies. All  breeding stock has hips, elbows, and patellar certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) to be free of hip/elbow dysplasia.
