Dear Roberta,
As I was going through Abby's papers for my groomer, who is
looking for a schnauzer puppy, I saw your card. After
searching the web, I found your website and thought I would
send you an update on her.
Abby is the pup of CH Venture's TX Two Step and Windwalkers
Prime Design.
Our family purchased her from you in Oct. '02. We lived in
Cedar Hill, TX until Aug.'03 . From Cedar Hill TX we moved to
Oakville ON, SW of Toronto, (where she just loved the snow) to
most recently Rocklin CA, NE of Sacramento. She has been the
sweetest and best companion dog that we have ever owned.
Thanks for selling her to us. We wouldn't know what life would
be like without our sweet little" Abby girl". Include is a
picture of her.
Sincerely,
Janeen Streeter |

Robert & Anita Gilbreath,
Portland, TX, new owners of
Windwalker Toast of the Coast a/k/a “Michael”.
(Topper x Meg male whelped 9/16/05) |
11/30/07 -- Two new Michael
funnies from Robert and Anita Gilbreath.
We stayed at the La Quinta in San Angelo for simplicity sake and
when we got settled in our room we let the 2 pups out to stretch
after the long ride. After a few minutes Java decided to get
back in the crate and she ended up in Michaels and the wire door
closed behind her unlocked. When Michael saw her in his crate
(both identical) he took exception to her being there. He let
out a couple of barks scolding her and we called him down to not
bark. After being upset about her being in his crate he went
over and with his paw opened the unlocked door then just piled
into the crate with her and she quickly got out and got into her
crate. He was again happy. We were watching all this sitting on
the bed and it was really funny to watch all this transpire.
When we got back home it was pretty cold and we used a little
heat in the house. In our den, we have a real nice electric
stove that is a replica of a small fireplace and the dogs love
laying in front of it where the heat blows out. We do not run it
at night for safety. The first night back Michael started his
little wake up bark to me and like a dummy I got up. It was 3:10
am. He was in the kitchen and when he saw me coming he turned
and headed back to the den like he wanted to show me something.
When I went into the den to see what was going on he proceeded
to bounce up and down to show me where the remote control was
for the heater and almost had managed to get it on to the floor.
He then stood in front of the stove with his nose on the glass
front and would look at me then at the stove. He was telling me
he was cold and needed the heater which I turned on for about an
hour and he was happy as could be for the rest of the night. I
am going try and teach him how to operate the remote. Ha!!

December 6, 2006
After we literally thought about you all week last week and your
very unfortunate experience we decided to send you a short
e-mail and share our first anniversary memory of knowing Bobbie
and Carl and owning a little fellow named Michael. It does not
seem possible a year has passed since we met you and came home
with a little fireball. It has been a tremendously fun year for
us thanks to you. He has been everything we hoped for and more.
We are looking forward to some shows in the coming months to
keep us in contact with the dog world and staying active.
Saw your new babies on your website and it looks like you have
some mighty fine looking pups. Bet they are a sight when out
exercising. Also, saw how you had our pups lined up as puppies
then as winners. Was something to see. It is amazing how much
they change in such a short time.
We have a new funny. When I get ready to take both dogs for a
walk on their leashes Michael grabs hold of Java's and leads her
to the door and amazingly she follows. We could not believe our
eyes when he did this the first time all on his own with no
prompting. Maybe they are trying to tell us they do not need us
anymore on their walks. No telling where they would end up.
Really is funny. Living with Michael is a lot like opening a box
of Cracker Jacks as you wonder what the surprise of the day is
going to be..
Hope this week is a little better for you. You
are in our thoughts. Watch for us in the "Patter".
Robert Gilbreath |
|
From the story related by Robert
Gilbreath below, Michael seems to be a very busy boy:
We now have
baby latches on all of our kitchen cabinet doors. Michael
"distributed" around 100 trash bags and zip lock bags on the
kitchen floor. He was really proud of himself. So much so,
that he went into the room where Anita was with a bag in his
mouth and tail just a wagging. Then he led her into the kitchen
and proceeded to show her how he could open the door. I had put
big rubber bands around the knobs, but that only increased the
challenge. Could not do anything but laugh since he was so
innocent acting about the whole thing. He is a riot. Leave it
to a min pin to create a new game.
Thought we
would give you a little humor to end the week.
Have a good week-end...........Till later. |

Arrived back here
at 1 A.M. and he slept the whole way. The 10 year old female has

.......Java decided the safest place for her was in her own crate
and "pulled the door closed herself" That was funny. LOL

Hello Bobbie,
We bought Piper and Louie's little girl. You asked that we send a
picture after her ears were cropped. We named her Harley. Here's
pictures of her the day after we brought her home and what she looks
like now. She has been such a good and fun dog. She and my other
girl get along so well. They just love each other. It took around a
year of looking for the Min Pin we hoped to find and we certainly
found her. I'm in love. Enjoy the pictures. Jo-Ann Kuykendall |

she was proud of herself. This is because of you give me this

Windwalker Spice Girl
is a Speedy
(CH Bentwater Orient Express) puppy I sold to Korea and she is doing
quite well there. The owner is Stephen Jung.
Spice has her Korean Championship and is working on
her International Championship. |
Stephen reports to me from
Korea on 10/05/04
that Spice won another best
in group by
“competing against Dobe, Great Dane , Rotte and other big dogs.”
|
|
On October 10, 2004, Stephen sent me another e-mail
about Spice’s show wins in Korea:
"Spice won another BIG (Best In Group) yesterday. FCI shows
divides Minpin as working group such as Dobe, Boxer, Rotte etc., so
it is very hard to win, BOB, because in this group Japan No.1 Dobe
and Boxer (from Canada), Rotte (from Germany) are competing. But she
is going to have season soon and I am going to breed her".
12/17/04 Stephen has reported from Korea that Spice
in now an International Champion and
the No. 1 Min Pin. She will be shown again next year. |

Lynne and Ray Coleman. |

Lynne wanted me to have pictures before his ear
crop.
He obviously loves being spoiled as stated on the headboard of his
bed |

Here are a couple of pics of Zeus
from New Year’s Eve. He is now 6 months old and 11 pounds. A
very strong and handsome little fellow!! Call me crazy…..but I
actually may want to get him a playmate after I finish
housebreaking him. He is a stubborn pup.
|
|
|
Here are a few new pics
of Zeus! He likes to look right into the camera sometimes (he
thinks it’s a toy). He also thinks he is a cat and likes to sit on
the top of the sofa instead of on the sofa.”

Zeus – Drama of
the Week (11/30/06)
Well we all know that Zeus has just gotten over his infection and
wound from his fire ant fiasco. That was a $125 bill, getting a dog
to wear the cone shaped collar and taking antibiotics for a week.
Last night when I got home Zeus was not in his cage like he normally
is (his bed is there). He was sitting on one of my kitchen table
chairs…which is a no no. I look at his crate and something is in
there that is pretty big and does not look like any of the small
toys that I buy for him. I start to walk closer and to get a better
look and I realize that a big bird is in his cage. I would say the
big was the size of a pigeon but I really could not tell what kind
of bird it was or if was really dead. All I know is that Zeus
dragged it in through the doggie door and put it in his crate. I run
into the room to tell Ray hysterically and when I get back Zeus has
taken it out of his cage and dropped on the floor for me. He was
saving me a present. I think he thought he did a good thing and was
trying to show me what he got. It was disgusting. The bird had a
rounded beak, the body was grey and spotted, the wings were yellow
on the inside and he had red on his head. All I am thinking is that
this bird is diseased, dirty and will be stinking pretty soon. Also,
is this bird going to make Zeus sick which would mean another trip
to the emergency animal hospital that I hate going to because that
is where Zappy died. Ray comes and sweeps the bird on to a dustpan
and heads out the back door. I forgot to tell you that Ray had just
gotten out the shower all clean and refreshed only to clean up after
a dead bird and take it outside in the rain and cold weather.
Well we begin to mop the floor and wash Zeus’ bed. I then see
evidence on the wall that there obviously was a struggle between
Zeus and the bird because there is blood like dirt on the wall and
small feathers by the doggie door. I then notice that Zeus does have
some scratches on his legs and some areas on his body where the bird
may have pecked at him pretty good. See Zeus can jump very very high
and we always talked about that and some bird must have
underestimated just how high he could jump. I know I have seen bird
feathers in the backyard before but I did not know Zeus was out
there catching birds while we were at work!!!
Ray mentioned that one day a headless bird was in the backyard near
the garbage can but he did not tell me.
This morning as I left for work Zeus was usual chipper self so Ray
and I are assuming the bird did not make him sick. This brings new
meaning to the saying that “you never know where you dog’s mouth has
been”. Lastly, as I am pulling out of my garage into the alley I see
the same dead bird that was in my house in the alley. He has been
run over like 10 times already. So obviously last night Ray just
went outside and threw the bird over our wooden gate in to the
alley!!!!!
Birds used to drive Zappy crazy as well and he had one at the back
door once or twice at our previous house. Why do I get the crazy
dogs all the time?????
Cordially,
Lynne Coleman |

Hi Ms. Bobbie,
Now that I have turned 1 yr old I feel like I am such a big boy….and
boy am I big….tipping the scales at 15 lbs
I also attend doggie day care every Wednesday to break up the
monotony of the long week and play with some friends all day. My
best friends are a beagle and a Doberman puppy. Below is the link
to the doggie cam if you want to see me play on Wednesday. Of
course, I am the only red min pin at the daycare so you will spot me
right away. They also keep me in a room with bigger more active
dogs because I have a tendency to get a little rough with the small
dogs. Nap time is from 12-2 but I do not participate in that part of
the program. I am usually the only dog walking around during that
time.
J
I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I am living
the good life and doing just fine.
Will send pictures the next time my mom catches me posing…..got to
get back to playing.
Love,
Zeus |

A note from Lacie’s mom:
Hi Bobbie
How are you doing?
I have thought about Maddie often ... how is she doing? Do you
still have her with you?
I have to tell you about Lacie's trip to California. I went to
California for my best friends son's graduation from Stanford as
a MD and I took Lacie with me. She was perfect to travel with
and she loved the attention from everyone. After the graduation
parties and all seeing family again, etc. Lynn and I took off
and drove down the coast to Orange County to visit friends and I
have to tell you ... Lacie is a beach lover just like me. You
should have seen her on the beach. She loved the sand and the
water. I had to be very careful with her because she is
fearless and she loved when the waves would come up and pick her
up and wash her back. She just thought that was the most fun.
The salt water did not brother her at all like I thought it
would. I had to watch her ... or a couple of time she would
have been washed to far out. After our beach stop and play
time, I would wash the sand off and the salt water from her and
back in the car she would sleep until the next time the car
would stop. I bought a bottle of eye wash to keep her eyes
washed out and she did find. She would chase the beach birds
and the sea weed ... boy did she think she had found the best
toys. We truly had a great time. I should have dozens of her
... I could have sold her so many times ... I could be famously
rich now. Everyone wanted to buy her and take her home.
Anyway, she could become a California girl just like me in no
time. Anyway, I just had to tell you about her and the fun we
had on the California beaches.
How are you and
your troupe of dogs. Any show trophies lately? Take care, JD |
