I am a breeder of Miniature Pinschers, my unwillingness to
compromise on quality and complete dedication to the
breed has afforded me success and considerable
satisfaction.
My dogs get free run of my home and 13 secured
acres of fenced yard. They get individual hands
on attention and regular socialization. I breed only for
the show ring. Not every dog wants to be a show dog,
however, and I use my background as a social worker to
select excellent pet homes. I sell my dogs on CKC
non-breeding contracts only and provide a lifetime
health guarantee. I am available to the new owner for
the lifetime of the dog. My goal as a breeder is to produce sound, stable, healthy and happy Miniature Pinschers that have outstanding conformation and movement. I give a tremendous amount of time and effort to my dogs but they have given it all back and more. I show all my own dogs and in less than ten years I have bred over 40 Champions with the pre-fix Patapin. My first litter was an all champion litter of three, finishing in 2000. I have also bred an all champion litter of five. I have won the Canadian Miniature Pinscher Specialty and the AKC Toy Specialty with an entry of over 100 dogs. I have bred a Best in Show female and many multi Best Puppy in Show, best in Specialty Show, Group Winners, Group placers, and Puppy Group winners. I have bred the number 1 Miniature Pinscher in Canada, the number 2 Miniature Pinscher, the number 3 Miniature Pinscher in Canada twice, the number 4 Miniature Pinscher and the number 5 Miniature Pinscher in Canada. I have placed dogs in Sweden, Malaysia and Australia. All went on to be top ranked in their respective countries. Families who were lucky enough to adopt my puppies (I am very particular) tell me that it is hard to believe they are really minpins. Patapins, are not bouncing of the walls hyper, and only bark for a reason. They also come with a lifetime health guarantee - that's how sure I am of my pedigrees. Many people have contacted me with horror stories about their Pins, who have had to be locked away when people visit as they never stop barking or jumping up. When new people visit a Patapin, they are told to totally ignore the dog. Then after 5 minutes max the Pin is sitting on their knee. I also hear about sick Pins and those with luxating patellas, leg calf perthes and worse. In over 15 yrs of breeding, I have had two cases of luxating patellas and I have given the owners a healthy puppy back, while giving them the option of keeping the affected Pin. That's what is different about my health guarantee. Most other breeders who give any kind of guarantee, demand that the affected Pin be returned for euthanasia. Of course, good homes wouldn't even consider this as their Pin is a much loved family member. Hence, in actual fact, there is no workable health guarantee at all. If you are considering a Patapin, please check the Endorsement page and the Available page to give you a sense of Patapin. My blog details our daily life. Our Pins are like no other and I know you will agree. My puppies are $1,375. I will not place in families where there is no one home during the day, every day. |
